Rains kill Saudi family
A mother and her three daughters drowned in a valley filled with rain waters in northern Saudi Arabia, the Saudi daily Al Bilad reported on October 29.
The newspaper said that the family went on a picnic in the valley, and while the mother was occupied with preparing food her smaller daughter ran into the valley where she fell to her death because of the flood. When the mother heard her daughter screaming, she ran after her to try help her and she was followed by her two other daughters, but unfortunately all were killed in the effort, the paper said.
