Leaders meet

President Elias Hrawi, Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Rafik Hariri met yesterday in Baabda examined Russian Foreign Minister Primakov's warning of a major Israeli operation in Lebanon, the new draft of the municipal election law and the results of Hariri's trip to Iran. While Hariri didn't comment, Berri said as he left Baabda that "the leaders' atmosphere is positive."

Meanwhile, Israeli troops engaged in a series of battles with Hizbullah fighters in the central sector of south Lebanon; also they used warplanes to raid Al Naamah , the fifth raid in one week against Al Naameh.
