Dr. Hamdi El Sayed, chairman of the Egyptian Medical Association, stood in the witness box last week during a hearing session investigating the legal situation of the private medical schools which were opened in Egypt a few years ago.

El Sayed is a fierce fighter against powerful officials running these schools. He had vowed that he would never abandon his campaign to close down these schools which had poor educational and laboratory facilities, Rosel-Yousef weekly said today October 29.
