Kidnapped Egyptians are expected in Egypt today
Egyptians who were kidnapped by the Turkish captain of the Opo Engine ship will return today to Egypt. The captain had kidnapped those Egyptians while they were on board the ship to implement a court ruling against the owner of the ship, but the captain sailed to the international territorial waters ignoring the threatening calls of the two Egyptian ship which tried to stop him.
The Turkish government informed Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa that the act of the captain of the Turkish oil tankers is an individual act and it confirmed that all the Egyptians on board the ship are in good health.
The Egyptian Ambassador in Turkey has submitted an official protest to the Turkish Foreign Ministry in which he expressed Egypt's refusal of what was done by the captain and his disrespect of the international agreements regulating the passage in the Suez Canal.
Egyptian authorities listed the captain's name on the black list which will prevent the Turkish captain from working on any ship in Egypt whether it bears the Turkish flag or any other flag. The Egyptian authorities had also prevented their ships from firing at the Turkish oil tanker as it was an carrying oil cargo and out of its care for the Egyptian-Turkish relations.
