Japan sends aid for Palestinian schools
Japan and the Palestine National Authority signed an agreement by which the former would provide some US $17.5 million for building new schools in the Gaza Strip.
The agreement came in part of a number of projects the Japanese government has been financing in the PNA areas. Palestinian officials expressed their deep appreciation of the Japanese efforts. Palestinian minister of local authorities, Dr. Saeb Erekat, said after singing the agreement on behalf of the PNA that the Japanese donation will help ease the overcrowding of schools in the Gaza Strip.
