Berri - Hariri meeting

Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Rafik Hariri met last night in Ein-El-Tineh to discuss the means to execute their agreement's clauses. The meeting, which started at 7:30 p.m. and lasted for one hour and a half, resulted in several decisions:

1- Mayoral and municipal elections will be decided upon during the cabinet's meeting next Wednesday.

2- A draft of regulations concerning the office of medicines will be prepared and sent to the president's office.

3- A project concerning the means to supervise the assemblies and the big municipalities will also be prepared and sent to the parliament.

4- It is necessary to secure the proposed amounts of money for the rehabilitation of the deprived areas.

5- Alternatives were proposed concerning the religious distribution of the administrative positions.
