Originally published

The long-overdue reopening of the national museum will take place on November 25, the National Heritage Association announced on October 19.

The association, headed by first lady Mouna Hrawi, discussed the preparations for the completion of the museum's first floor, which will be the only section open to the public. The two other floors, still under renovation, are expected to be completed in the next three years.

The museum closed its doors in 1975, and was heavily damaged during the civil war.
