Arab military experts meet in Cairo
Military experts from 13 Arab states began meeting in Cairo on October 16 at Arab League headquarters to consider military cooperation between their armed forces.
An Arab League official said the meetings would aim at unifying the different military terminologies used by the Arab armies as a result of their dealings with both the West and East military schools.
The source said the experts would review in the next 10 days research by a number of Arab countries on the unification of military terminologies in such fields as mechanized units and airborne forces.
The experts will report on the outcome of their meetings to their armed forces' chiefs of staff to endorse them. The experts held their first meeting in Tunisia in 1982.
