The First US-Arab Seminar on Investing in Mining

The first US-Arab seminar on investing in mining will be held in Washington between October 21-26. The seminar will be organized by the Arab Organization for Mining and Industrial Development (AOMID), and it aims to promote the mining industries in the Middle East and North African countries.

Investors, public and private sector representatives will attend the seminar which will discuss the opportunities for mining in the region. The Middle East and North Africa region needs a lot of investments and technology in order to carry out its mining projects.

The recommendations of the 6th Arab Conference on Mining Resources that was held in Damascus in December 1995 stressed the necessity of promoting the mining projects of the region in the Arab and international markets.
