Four charged over slaying of Amal leader
Four members of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party were on October 15 charged with the murder of Amal Party leader, Khalil Mosawi.
Appeals court prosecutor Abdallah Bitar prepared the bill of indictment against Jamal Ghazi Farhat (Palestinian ), Hussein Mohammed Kamaleddine, Mounier Dib Mounem and Hussein Ahmad Kamal for internationally killing Mousawi by setting a grenade in the trunk of his car.
For the last four years, the four had allegedly threatened to avenge the murder of Khodor Kamaleddine. They believed the Amal party was responsible for the murder. They protested against the Syrian Social Nationalist Party and Amal party alliance formed during the last elections and abandoned the emergency faction of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party.
Planning and supervision of the murder was allegedly conducted by Kamaleddine's five brothers.
