Collective punishment against Families of suspected bombers and villages

Originally published

Israel issued warning orders for demolition of houses of the families of the four Palestinians from Assira Ash-Shamaliya that are suspected of being suicide bombers responsible for the last two suicide attacks in West Jerusalem that have lead to the death of twenty Israelis.

As in previous cases in which Palestinian suicide bombers' families were punished for the actions of their sons, the families were notified that they have to evacuate their houses so that the Israeli forces could demolish them, possibly early next week.

Meanwhile, villagers complained that Israel had cut electricity supplies to their village in part of the collective punishment measures it took after the identities of the four Palestinians were released. The PNA had strongly protested to Israel against the measures and demanded that Israeli troops stop arbitrary searches and arrests in the village.
