Environmental catastrophe endangers Kuwait
Environmental sources stated that Kuwait is on the verge of an enormous environmental and health catastrophe. Sources said that a large number of the factories in the Shuiba industrial area used large quantities of impure fuel in operating their machines which resulted in accumulating nitrogen and dioxide gases in high density in the higher levels of the atmosphere and started to form white and yellow clouds over the skies of the capital.
Sources mentioned that these clouds are visible when the atmosphere is humid. These clouds cause a strong smell in the air similar to the smell of burnt material.
The sources warned against the effects of such a phenomenon on health and the environment in general, especially with the approach of the humid season in Kuwait that started in mid-September.
