"Bridge of Love" program helps rejoins Daughter and father after 50 years separation

Afaf Ali Al Hasawi has rejoined her father after 50 years of separation.

Afaf was born in Kuwait to a Saudi man who was living in Kuwait. He returned to Saudi Arabia to Madinah after divorcing her mother, and there was a communication gap between the man and his ex-wife.

While living in Saudi Arabia, he remarried and had four boys and 14 girls from his new wife. He informed his children in Saudi Arabia that they had an elder sister in Kuwait, and all of them said they were eager to meet her.

In a recently transmitted episode of the ART television program "Bridge of Love," Afaf's father made an appeal to see his daughter again. He gave his address in Saudi Arabia, and on September 15 Afaf was one of the passengers who arrived to the international airport in Jeddah to meet her father and the brothers and sisters she never knew.

Afaf's father is now 80, and she is now married with six children. It was a wonderful meeting between daughter and father after 50 years of separation.
