Algeria, Syria appeal to Arabs to stop Israeli relations
Algeria and Syria concluded high-ranking talks in Damascus yesterday by denouncing Israel's policies and urging the Arab world to freeze the normalization of ties with the Israeli government.
A joint communique issued following talks between Syrian President Hafez Al Assad and Algerian President Liamine Zeroual said Arabs should take this action because the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is blocking peace in the region, Al Ahram daily said today.
