Israelis launch attacks on south Lebanon
During the night between September 13-14, Israeli helicopters conducted raids four times on three positions of the Lebanese Army. Speculations are that Israel is punishing Lebanon for Israeli losses earlier in the month and the injury of four Israeli commandos a few hours earlier.
Six members of the Lebanese army were killed, among them an officer, and six others were injured in Israeli raids on south Lebanon, on Arab Saline Triangle, Jarjouh and Houmine Al Fawka. Moreover, two civilian men were injured during these attacks on the Oklim Al Touffah region and a civilian woman was killed.
Fighting occurred between Israelis and the Islamic resistance last night, and four Israeli soldiers were killed, according to Islamic resistance sources while Israel stated that the soldiers were just injured.
On the other side, the Islamic resistance lost contact with four fighters, who might have been killed in fighting with Israeli patrols.
In addition, news reports announced that Israeli attacks on Lebanon were still going on this morning.
