Message from Albright to the Syrian minister of foreign affairs

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk Al Sharaa has received a joint message sent by US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and her French counterpart Hubert Verdine.

The message included American-French assurances that the two countries will support the mission of the Monitoring Committee in South Lebanon and the April understanding, and the two states' common concern for the protection of civilians.
