Libya-Niger set up regional cooperation
Well-informed officials stated yesterday that Libya and Niger would set up a 5-nation-Saharan economic grouping in an attempt to enhance regional cooperation.
Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Omar Mostafa El-Montasser discussed with President Ibrahim Bare Mainassare of Niger the plan agreed upon on August 17 in Tripoli.
"We came to resume talks with President Mainassare, whom his fellow leaders had mandated to consider the matter thoroughly," El-Montasser told reporters.
