PLO Chief warns of War
The chief of the PLO political department, Farouk Qaddoumi, warned against a new war in the region as a result of Benjamin Netanyahu's policies.
In an interview with the Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper August 24, Qaddoumi said the region is passing through new confrontations due to recent challenges created by Netanyahu and his racist Israeli government.
The PLO official said that the Oslo deal have begun to lose content and merit, stressing that Israel has no credibility, especially after Netanyahu placed obstacles in the path of implementing agreements, carried out suppressive practices against the Palestinian people and disavowed concluded agreements.
Qaddoumi criticized America's stand towards the Middle East peace process and said the US is hesitant to reactivate its role as a main ME peace-broker.
