Bahrain swears it will fight political violence

Bahraini authorities swore to fight political violence and protect the country's security and stability.

The Gulf News Agency, quoting a Bahraini government official, said, "Bahrini government must face by legal means violence and subversive acts committed against its citizens and residents."

"Violence, arson attacks, killing and subversive acts constitute a violation of citizens' human rights and threaten the society's safety and security," the official stated.
