Iran urges Baghdad to free POW's

Iran urged the Iraqi government on August 18 to free Iranian POW's held since 1980-88 war between the two countries.

Brigadier Abdallah Najaf, head of Iran's POW Affairs Committee said that, "Iraq still detains a great number of Iranian POW's," according to information from the international committee of the Red Cross.
