Power cuts in Baghdad

Iraqi media warned of cuts in power for three hours daily in Baghdad, due to a lack of spare parts. The reports urged citizens to use power rationally in homes, and shops have been asked to use less electricity.

The Power Distribution Department in Baghdad issued a timetable for a whole year. August is the worst month, because both temperatures and electricity consumption soar.
