Climate change could be nearing, Egyptian scientist warns
The head of the international development and Environment center, Dr. M.K. Tolba, who was formerly with the UN environment program, warned there will be climate chaos, such as violent storms, drought and rising levels of seas and oceans, unless countries take urgent measures banning the use of greenhouse gases, which harm the environment.
He noted that greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide being the most famous, prompted a rise in earth's temperature.
Dr. Tolba added that environmentalists will hold a convention next December in Japan to discuss the measures which should be taken to avoid the expected "climatic chaos."
Dr. Tolba said the hole in the ozone layer will disappear in the period spanning 2050 to 2070 provided that the use greenhouse gases are reduced.
