UAE needs 200,000 new jobs by 2006

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will have to find about 200,000 new jobs for its nationals by the year 2006, Minister of Communications Ahmad Humaid al Tayer said in remarks published on July 28.

"The issue of finding emplyoment for nationals is one of the biggest challenges that we will face the UAE," Tayer said in an interview with al Ittihad daily.

He said about 200,000 nationals will be seeking employment by the year 2006.
