Circumstances improper for Doha summit

Originally published

The chief of Arab Businessmen's Council, Hamdi al Tabba, said the current circumstances the region is passing through are improper to hold the economic summit in Doha.

In an interview with the Jordanian "al-Dustor" newspaper published on July 27, al Tabba said the circumstances are unfit because Israel is still occupying Arab territories, killing and displacing indigenous Arab people and bombarding children from Gaza, through South Lebanon to the entire Palestine.

"It is useless to hold the Doha summit so long as Israel is adamant on maintaining intransigence and on disowning international legitimacy resolutions."

Meanwhile, the Jordanian "al-Hawadath" weekly expressed wonder over persistence in holding the summit despite elements that prove daily that its abrogation is a national duty, because Israel is the only beneficiary.

In an article published on July 27, the weekly said Arab citizens are wondering how Israelis allowed to penetrate into the Arab body while Tel Aviv still flagrantly disrespects the will of the international community.

Arab solidarity is indispensable to confront America and Israel because all Arabs are target of Washington and Tel Aviv regardless of time and places.
