Narcotic seeds detector in Egypt
The Ministry of Justice received a narcotic seed detector from the Australian government for the first time in Egypt and the Middle East. The detector checks for narcotic seeds, mixed with cereals in Egyptian imports, in 5 minutes; previous methods used to take one month, and imports accumulated in ports as result.
Minister of Justice Farouk Seif El-Nasr, said the Ministry received the detector a week ago and handed it to the Forensic Medicine Authority, responsible for checking any cereals imported to or planted in Egypt.
