New work VISA measures in Saudi Arabia

New intensified measures are being taken in Saudi Arabia to limit the foreign labor influx into the state. Last Saturday, work related visas decreased to only two months instead of six. This applies to all resident labor, working in public or private sectors.

An official stated that there are exceptions to the measures depending on the work’s location, job, and institution, or other reasonable circumstances.

He mentioned the new decision aims at the classification of labor travel and the specification of the need for such labor.
