Arab Journalist Federation calls for UN intervention in Hebron

The Arab Journalist Federation called for a UN and international human rights organizations to intervene quickly and pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their "cruel aggression and punishment measures" in the occupied Palestine.

The General Secretary of the Federation condemned the Israeli campaign against journalists. The statement also asked the International Journalist Federation and the world organizations to apply article 19 and to consolidate with the Arab Journalists Federation in the latter's campaign to defend freedom of opinion and expression and insure the safety of Palestinian journalists.

The Israeli aggression against journalists has resulted in many serious injuries to Palestinian journalists. The aggression is aimed at stopping the public upset which refuses Netanyahu government's fanatic policy.

The wounding of Arab journalists in recent days has been the catalyst for this responce.
