Libya to defy UN sanctions

Libya warned it would ignore UN sanctions in force for five years after the UN security council renewed an air embargo without a 15-member consensus. Speaking to newsmen in the United Nations after a stormy council meeting, Libyan Ambassador to the United Nations Abuzed Omar Dorda said that "from now on we can behave as though these sanctions were not there."
