Two child shepherds were found with their throats slit in the Bougara area, south of Algers, the Algerian newspaper El Watan said yesterday.
It said "terrorists" had killed the children, both boys.
The two had been tending their sheep on Bougara Heights, some 12 miles from the capital.
Their bodies were found on Tuesday, the paper said, adding that their killers had stolen the flock.
