Israeli chief in Jordan for talks

The Israeli army's chief of staff, Lieutenant General Amnon Shahak, held talks in Amman yesterday with his Jordanian counterpart, Abdul Hafez Kaabneh, military officials said.

They gave no details of the two men's discussions.
