Children's citizenship dilemma

Last week a lawyer issued an appeal to parliament speaker Dr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour, urging him to enforce the constitutional and international laws which empower Egyptian woman married to foreign husbands to give their nationality to their children.

According to the Egyptian citizenship law, these children can only obtain their mothers' nationality under strict conditions.
