Lebanon's Mufti arrives in Egypt on a 10-day visit

The Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Mohammed Rashid Qabani, arrived in Cairo last night for a 10-day official visit during which he will be received by President Hosni Mubarak.

Qabani, the most important Lebanese religious official, will hold talks with Shiekh Sayed Tantawy, head of Al Ahazar and Sheikh Nasr Wasel, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and attend an Islamic conference, "Islam and the West," due to take place July 13-16.
