Morocco health workers plan third strike

Originally published

Moroccan public health workers will hold a three-day strike July 22-24, after two shorter stoppages failed to push the government into responding to their union, a source said yesterday.

The Democratic Labor Confederation issued a statement saying the government had failed to reply to their two-day-strike-demands last week.

That protest followed a similar two-day stoppage the week before.

Emergency services are being provided said the union, which last week reported that 92 to 100 percent of the staff observed the protest in the main medical centers.
