Preparatory meeting for WRCC opens in Damascus
The Arab preparatory meeting for the World Radio Communication Conference (WRCC) to be held in Geneva next autumn opened in Damascus on July 7 by Communications Minister Mohammed Rudwan Martini.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Martini highlighted the significance of the meeting for the exchange of views, data and proposals on frequency spectrum circulation and world radio communication systems.
The rapid spread of technology has led to the mounting role of alternating frequency spectrum uses. The meeting, the Minister added, will help simplify and modernize the rules and systems of international radio communications so as to guarantee the natural right of all countries in compliance with UN resolutions.
