Somaliland clash leaves 6 killed, 21 injured

Six people were killed in the self-declared Republic of Somaliland when gunmen opened fire indiscriminately in Barrio town center, radio reports said yesterday.

A total of 21 people, including seven women, were injured in the incident on Saturday evening 60 miles east of the Somaliland capital Harries.

A gunman died in hospital after falling from a “technical” battle wagon used in the attack, local journalists and radio reports said.
