Egypt pavilion at Beirut festival

Originally published

Yesterday Lebanon’s state minister for administration reform, Shared Margah, opened the Egyptian pavilion at a folk art festival organized by Beirut University.

The stand was the product of efforts by Egyptian students at the Beirut University, in cooperation with the Egyptian Media Office in Lebanon. Entitled "Made in Egypt," the pavilion displayed Egyptian wood and copper handicrafts as well as commemorative stamps issued to mark national events.

The Egyptian students, moreover, displayed many tourism promotion posters on the main historical sites and monuments nationwide. In addition, the pavilion activities included screening documentaries about ancient Egyptian civilization and the current development projects underway nationwide.

Experts and media officials also took part in a seminar entitled "Egypt, the dawn of human civilization," which spotlighted the contributions of ancient Egyptian civilization to the world heritage.
