Minister opens workshop on GMPCS

The first workshop on the Global Mobile Personal Communication System (GMPCS) opened in Damascus on July 5.

The two-day workshop is held by the International Telecommunications Union in collaboration with telecommunications establishments.

Taking part in the workshop, which is the first of its kind to be held by the union in the region, are representatives of Arab, regional and international communications administrations and organizations as well as companies from the USA, UK, and Canada.
