Ganzouri chairs meeting on Upper Egypt developments

Prime minister Dr. Kamal El Ganzouri chaired a meeting of the higher Ministerial committee for Development the South Valley.

The meeting tackled preparation for the inspection which President Mubarak is expected to make within the coming days.

Emerging from the meeting, Information Minister Safwat al-Sherif said that the committee also reviewed overall progress in addition to mining and industrial project contracts.

The committee, he continued, also discussed the infrastructure of the area. “President Mubarak is eager to make regular visits to follow up the accomplishments of this giant project and overcome any difficulties which might impede these achievements," he said.
