Arabs keen on integration

The regular Arab mini-summits indicate a new energy in Arab determination to establish economic and industrial integration, Information Minister Safwat El-Sherif said.

Sherif, speaking to reporters after the opening session of the Arab Information Ministers Council meeting, said the Arab media had an important responsibility to advocate the establishment of Arab common market.

"The Arab media should reflect the political will of our Arab nation," he said.

"The Arab world needs its own economic bloc through which it can play a role among the world's giant economic bloc," he added.
