Love affair murder

Discovering her misconduct and various illicit love affairs, a newly-wed worker killed his wife three months after their marriage. He dragged her to a remote area and strangled her with a scarf before throwing her body into a sanitary drainage well.

The woman’s father reported his daughter's absence to police. The police investigation showed that the bride, Hanan Mohammed Abdullah Selim, 17, got married to her husband after a scandal where her family discovered her love affair with the man and forced him to marry their daughter.

After the marriage, the husband suspected that his wife had many love affairs with some youths in their village. When he discovered that his wife was pregnant and suspected that it was from someone else, the husband killed her.

He was arrested and confessed to the crime, aferward being referred to prosecution, which ordered him incarcerated pending trial.
