LE 10.3 Billion planned investments for Cairo
Planned investment for Cairo Governorate reaches LE 10.3 billion with the private sector assigned 52 percent of its projects.
The plan envisages completing infrastructure, expanding recycling, treated wastewater, covering drainage canals and providing natural gas for residential areas along east and west banks of the Nile.
Cairo governor Omar Abdel Akher held a meeting with several officials earlier this week to discuss a plan for renovating electricity transformer stations in the Cairo suburbs of Wadi Hoff and Heliopolis as well as building three new stations.
An increase in telephone service is planned with around 900,000 lines being added. Water supplies will be hiked up to 55 million cubic meters.
Abdel Akher also called for the ring roads to be linked with the Capital’s main streets.
