Toufeili willing to talk to government
Sheikh Sobhi Tufeili, head of the Hizbullah break-away faction, said on June 15 that he was willing to open dialogue with the government. Speaking at a meeting in Hermel, Toufeili also urged followers to be brave during the launch of the hunger revolution on July 4.
"Our revolution will not be one of chaos. Do not be afraid. The government cannot hurt you. No one will pay any taxes. We will have men in every area and house and follow our regulations to the world. There will be complete civil disobedience," Toufeili stated.
Committing on the cabinet decision to stop importing some agricultural products to encourage local production, Toufeili said, "It could be harmful. We need comprehensive agricultural decisions to protect both consumer and the farmer."
