Palestinian PM Haniyeh in visits Iran gets support

Originally published

Visiting Palestinian Prime Minister Ismael Haniyeh today met with Iran's Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on issues of mutual interests.

Highlighting ups and downs in Palestinian struggles to attain their legitimate rights from Zionist occupiers, Rafsanjani said given that the struggle between Palestinians and Israel is step up, more difficult time is predictable.

Palestinians should be watchful for conspiracies and plots hatched by the Americans and Zionists, he said, adding that Palestinians are very patient, pious and combatant.

Palestinians, despite all their difficulties such as hunger, economic sanctions, terror and loss of their youths are determined to attain victory, he said.

The Palestinian prime minister, on his part, briefed Rafsanjani on the latest domestic and international developments.

He underlined that the Palestinian nation is determined to continue their struggle until final victory. Lauding Iran for its support for the the Palestinian nation, he underlined that Iran is a powerful country among Islamic states.

Recent developments in the Middle East indicate that adopting a collective measure by the Islamic countries could lessen the problems and sufferings of the Palestinian nation, he said.

Hanieh today in a meeting with Majlis Speaker Gholam Ali Haddad-Adel, Hanieh said that the "Western governments have imposed economic sanctions on Palestinian democratically elected government, but, God willing, the Palestinians will manage to liberate occupied territories from Israeli occupation."

Haddad Adel said that what is going on in Palestine and the economic pressure the Western governments are imposing on Palestine indicated to what extent they believe in democracy and their alleged support for so-called 'democracy in the Middle East'.

"Palestine is an example for the US and Western governments alleged support for democracy and freedom in the past 60 years." he said.

The Majlis speaker called for solidarity of Palestinian political parties in the current sensitive period of resisting occupation of the Zionist regime.

"The enemies of Islam and Palestine are opposing solidarity of the Muslim World. After victory of the Islamic resistance movement of Lebanon against the Zionist regime (July-August), the enemies of Islam have made extensive efforts to sow discord between Shia and Sunni Muslims," Haddad Adel said.

Iran's Vice-President Parviz Davoudi has said Palestinian nation's victory against Israel is definite according to divine promises.

Davoudi said in a meeting with visiting Palestinian prime minister Ismail Haniyeh that Muslims and all free and independent people in the world support Palestinian government -- due to its right stances-- and Palestinians' unprecedented resistance against the Israeli usurpers and their allies.

Referring to all-out support of Iranian nation and government for the Palestinian nation's resistance, Davoudi announced Iran's readiness to put its valuable achievements and experiences in the political and urban development sectors at the disposal of Palestinians.

Haniyeh for his part touched on the sanctions imposed on the Palestinian government by Israel and its US-led allies in a bid to gain diplomatic advantages and provide security arms for the artificial regime of Israel.

He said that popular Palestinian government doesn't recognize the occupiers' legitimacy and regards resistance of Palestinian nation against Zionists as their natural right.

He called recent eight-month tyrannical sanctions against the Palestinian nation and government "vain" and said the Palestinians would continue defense and resistance until the main aspiration of Palestine, i.e. liberation of Holy Qods (Jerusalem), is met.
