UK minister denounces Israel killing of mother and child
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization -ISESCO- the "Israeli barbaric" aggression against civilians, schools, universities, vital facilities and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
In the communique today, ISESCO said that the Israeli occupation forces struck, for the second time in one week, the Islamic University in Gaza City and that the missile strike hit the university building and facilities, leading to its complete destruction.
Meantime, The British Minister for the Middle East, Kim Howells, condemned Wednesday Israeli airstrike that resulted in the killing of Palestinian civilians including a mother and her seven children in Gaza.
"I was gravely concerned to hear of the death of Palestinian civilians, including a mother and her seven children, and a high number of injuries following an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City today," he said in a press release. "We have repeatedly expressed our concerns about Israel's policy of targeted killings. The killing of innocent civilians, and particularly children, is unacceptable."
