Mubarak- Olmert talks Sunday
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak will be holding talks with Israeli Prime Ministetr Ehud Olmert at the Red Sea town of Sharm el-Sheikh next week.
Awwad said President Mubarak's meeting with Olmert, the first since the latter formed his coalition government, would explore ways' to move peace efforts and lay the foundations for a three-way summit later on with the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, which would be similar to the February 2005 summit.
"Discussions are expected to cover the current situation on the Palestinian and Israeli fronts as well as the possibility of pushing forward-peace efforts," said Presidential Spokesman Suleiman Awwad yesterday.
An official source said reports carried by newspapers and some Arab satellite channels on convening a three way summit today by President Mubarak, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israel's Prime Minister Ehud olmert are not correct.
