Two Palestinians killed, 40 injured by Israel
At least two Palestinians were killed and as many as forty others were injured when Israeli occupation forces stormed the central West Bank town of Ramallah today.
Sources at the Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Ramallah said two youths in their mid-20s were killed when undercover Israeli troops fired heavily on Palestinians who were throwing stones on Israeli military jeeps backing up the undercover soldiers.
Earlier, undercover Israeli troops disguised as Palestinians entered Ramallah apparently for the purpose of abducting some Palestinian activists.
However, when Palestinians identified the undercover troops, they started shooting in all directions killing the two Palestinians and injuring many others.
The Israeli occupation army said its troops entered Ramallah to arrest an Islamic Jihad activist in the city. The activist, Muhammed Darwish, and five other Palestinians were later arrested by Israeli troops.
Several Israeli military jeeps came to rescue the undercover soldiers, prompting Palestinians to pelt them with stones.
The Israeli occupation army dispatches death squads and undercover units into Palestinian towns on a daily basis to abduct and arrest Palestinians suspected of involvement in the resistance against the occupation.
Israel is already keeping as many as 10,000 Palestinians in some describe as "concentration camps" throughout occupied Palestine.
