Hamas delegation in Moscow Friday

Russia has announced that the visit of the Hamas movement delegation to Moscow will start officially next Friday.

The Russian official talks did not specify the level of talks, but said that the Russian foreign minister Sergy Lavrov might meet with the chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas movement.

Lavrov had announced earlier that Moscow will ask Hamas to abide by the peace process according to the so-called Roadmap peace plan, but a spokesman for the Russian foreign ministry said that "Hamas is free over its options."

Meantime, the Syrian foreign minister Walid al-Muaallim reviewed with Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal in Damascus " developments of the conditions on the Palestinian arena."

Mashaal said that the meeting comes in the course of continued consultations with Syria. Responding to a question on the formation of the new Palestinian government, Mashaal explained that "Hamas is still consulting Palestinian forces and figures," stressing that these consultations will be completed shortly
