Elections process violated in the Iraqi elections

Originally published

The international certification team of the Iraqi elections said that several violations were observed in the voting but he described them as "minor."

In a ten-page report, the team said that "most of the critical complaints which the independent committee for the elections considered as serious were inquired and settled judicially," stressing that the international team did receive evidence of deliberate violations which are in the category of violation of the election process (campaigning laws).

The committee said that the results of the elections confirms the "urgent need in this phase of the history of Iraq to form a real national unity government, representing all Iraqi social strata without any exception, margining or alienation."
