On the Iraqi accusations against Iran of kidnapping soldiers

On the implications of the Iraqi accusations against the Iranian naval forces that the Iranian forces attacked and kidnaped several Iraqi coasts guards several days ago, the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday reacted by saying that the Iraqi ships had violated the Iranian territorial waters.

The Iranian charge de affairs in Baghdad, Hassan Kazami Qami, said that Iraqi ships violated the Iranian territorial waters and that Iran is is looking into the Iraqi accusations.

Qami denied during his meeting with the Iraqi interim foreign minister Hoshiar Zeibari that his country seized members of the Iraqi coasts guards, as stated by the governor of Basra Muhammad al-Waeli earlier.
