Syrian witness held in Lebanon

In another development in Lebanon, a Lebanese judicial source said that the judiciary detained on Friday a Syrian citizen under the pretext of giving "false testimony" to the investigation into the murder of the former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri

The source said that Ibrahim Michael Jarjoura gave a false testimony to the investigation committee and to the Lebanese judiciary with the aim to mislead the investigators, giving no further details on what he said. Thereby number of detainees increased to 12, in the course of this investigation including four top Lebanese security men, who were the pillars of the security system in the country.
